Throughout the years of my life, Don Livingston has been an Entertainer, Character Actor, Producer, Director, Writer, Recording Artist, Restaurateur, and Custom Hat Designer.
Venues in the Entertainment industry in the past, have included touring extensively in clubs throughout the United States Mainland and Hawaii as a live performer, acting assignments for Warner Brothers Television, Co-Producing Country Shows in Southern California, and touring with an Improv Murder Mystery Company.
The songs featured on this CD are selections from three past albums: "Don Livingston - Just Easin' ", "Don Livingston
Solo", and "Livingston's Gone to Texas".
There is also a selection off a tape recorded LIVE in a club called Whiskey Flats in Escondido, California with his band, "TIMBERLINE". It is a great recording of an old standard written by Hoagy Carmichael called "Georgia On My Mind".
Filling up the CD are two recently written tunes, and the first recording done at the age of six years old. 13 selections in all.
All the pops and scratches were left on the original recordings to give the feeling of the passage of time on a Vinyl Record.
........,As I was editing "Georgia on My Mind" for the Co Producer, I found myself in another place and time (1981)....., I felt like I had travled back in time to that smoky Country Western Night club called Whiskey Flats in Escondidi, Ca.,....., It's about 11:00 PM at night,....., There are couples covering the dance floor, the beer and liquor are flowing, and it looks as if everyone in the room is having a good time. I thought,....., "Boy, the band sounds good tonight,....., oh, there's Marty and Sue (thought they were divorced),....., a Record Producer there in the corner talking to a Booking Agent,....., What song will we play next",....., oh well, you get the point,....., "TIME MACHINE"!!!!
