Album Notes

I grew up listening to these songs, having heard that they were very popular in their era and never could forget the beauty of their melodies and words. Whenever covered, they sounded pretty similar to the original versions. I grew up loving them and wondered why they were not covered more, and why something different was not done with them.

Search as I could, I did not find any of these songs that were given this Latin American and Cuban musical slant. I was also aiming at making the album romantic and danceable. I loved the challenge of affecting them with the Latin American and Cuban beat, and I am sure this style will appeal to a varied audience.

To accomplish this in my retirement year is a lifetime achievement, as this was a project that I have lived with since my teenage years.
