Album Notes

This is the self-titled, self-funded debut offering from Newcastle, Australia's favourite new group, The Dread Sky. Recorded over many long months in early 2009, the album is already generating rave reviews in sneak-preview listenings.

The Dread Sky conscripted Burke Reid from seminal Sydney indie band Gerling to co-produce and engineer (with Evan McHugh) while SOYA mentor and sonic master Scott Horscroft assumed mixing duties. Tracking and mixing were completed at Big Jesus Burger Studios in Surry Hills, Sydney. Mastering then fell to the legendary Steve Smart at Studios 301 and the artwork was hewn by the multiple-ARIA award-winning team at Debaser. The result is, in the words of fans: 'totallywaycool','awesome' and 'sweet'. Hope you like it too.
