Album Notes

The first of several EP's from St. Louis' newest team, between veteran production crew, "Jim's Pool Room" and emcee "EYECON The Academic", in preparation for "The EYECONOCLAST LP" (est. 2011 release). Longevity holder, EYECON, has surfaced 4 limited run mixtapes since about 2002. Walking dowm completely different paths, Jim's Pool Room Productions (which includes producers DJ TROG, SV, CAPO & GAGE) has pressed 3 albums and about 5 mixtapes during the same time frame. Though, [could be] categorised any which way, these guys are definately in a league of their own.

"I had bugged CAPO for months about beats. Finally, he emailed me a beat. Within 24 hours, i had written, recorded, mixed and emailed a finished product back to him. I call The Said work "Today & Yesterday". That next monday, CAPO was at my studio with his MPC, uploading 12 beats into my ProTools, sayin, "Have at it, man. Make some Magic happen." Though the project includes production from fellow Jim's Pool Room producers (I wouldn't have disposal of these other beats if it wasn't for CAPO's connection), I felt it was the minimum, to name the EP after his influence, AND, was a great way of saying thanks for his belief in my abilities." - EYECON The Academic
