Elvis Lloyd Carden has been making music, singing and writing, all his adult life. Elvis’ latest CD, LIFE, is his 8th LP recording in a long illustrious continuing career. This Georgia native, born in Atlanta, was raised up and still resides in his home state in the same city as his raising, Palmetto Georgia.
Elvis has dedicated this album LIFE to his beloved mother, his brother, and his dog Floppy. May they all rest in peace.
At the young age of 16, Elvis joined the United States army and at just 17 years old headed off to Lie Kie, Vietnam where he spent more than a year fighting for his country with the 1st Infantry Division. His last year in the army was spent in Aberdeen, MD. Elvis is passionate about his unwavering support of our troops.
Besides making music, this patriotic, multi-talented, award winning poet and songwriter’s other hobbies include hunting, fishing, and eating. Elvis loves ice cream, cake, as well as all kinds of fresh fruit from cherries to watermelons! Oh! And you’d best set out another plate if you’re fixin’ Boston Butt on the grill!!
Speaking of good cookin’, Elvis cooked up the design for the world renowned Guitar House in Fayeteville, Georgia. He was not only the designer but the builder of the spectacular, guitar-shaped home as well. Georgia’s TV Channel 5 News has covered this one off home; pictures and videos can be found on You Tube and throughout the World Wide Web.
Elvis is a member of BMI, CMA, ICMA, VVA, VVMF, VFW, American Legion etcetera, and owns Guitar House Records label that won “Label of the Year” in 1990. Though Elvis made his first recordings, Vietnam Blues & Loving a Soldier, back in ’67, he won Patriotic Song of the year in ’90. In 2005 Elvis won the COMA International Male Recording Artist of the year. 2007 was the year Elvis received the prestigious accolade as International Poet Of The Year for “Loving a Soldier”. Elvis did the music video honoring the 25th anniversary of the Vietnam Veterans Wall in 2007, also creating Music & Poetry for the Vietnam Veterans Fund with “Life Of Elvis Lloyd Carden”.
