ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This is the second CD made by the Etowah Jazz Society Big Band. The first CD, HEADWATERS, was a "live" CD and we wanted to make a studio quality CD that displayed our tunes that we perform on our Christmas Concerts played during this and previous holiday seasons. We picked our favorite tunes from our "book" and present them to you. The Etowah Jazz Society Big Band was formed in April of 2002 as a not for profit organization working big band by a group of dedicated area musicians who love to perform a wide variety of music that can be performed by a big band. The EJS Big Band plays all around North Georgia for various occasions. As a 501(c)3 we benefit the local music programs and provide college scholarships, tuition, and music funds for the local high schools and other organizations. EJS is comprised of some 17 players from all walks of life who live in the local and surrounding communities. This effort is a compilation of months of studio work (Christmas tunes in JULY!!!) and individual and sectional recordings compiled to bring you Seasons Greetings from this great group. We hope you enjoy our musical offerings in this season of JOY. Please visit our website at www.etowahjazz.com.

Kudos on the wonderful Christmas album. I'm really tired of hearing pop artists butcher some really great music, trying to show off their "voices". This album takes the original classics and gives you really good arrangements and vocals. I especially love The Christmas Waltz. Congrats.

Great CD, What Jazz is This
This is an outstanding CD by Etowah Jazz Society. I received my copy just before Christmas and my whole family has enjoyed listening to it. The songs include our all-time favorites of the season and the performance is fantastic! It is festive and at the same time smooth and relaxing., makes you feel like you are right in front of the bandstand. Can't wait to hear what they do next.

My Fav
This CD is now one of my favorite Christmas albums (and I have so many of all genres). The sound is so tight and it gives off such a good vibe. I love "The Christmas Waltz" the best.
