Musically, "Far Across The Wasteland" is a speed-melodic-epic-power heavy metal album combining the characteristics of the previous two E.H.X albums (aggressiveness and melody, technique and atmosphear) with a heavier sound (and overall production). Lyrically "Far Across The Wasteland" is a concept story about a time paradox occuring due to the opening of a portal between two worlds. All instrument and vocal recordings, mixing, mastering and artwork design by Michael Rinakakis. All music and lyrics by Michael Rinakakis. Concept story by Michael Rinakakis.

Event Horizon X - Far Across The Wasteland
style : heavy speed release date : 2005
reviewer : Sιb label : Orion Publications

"Far across the wasteland" is the third conceptual musical work of this Greek one-man-band. And what's cool is that M. Rinakakis is back with his best album to date ! Faster than 2004's "Along came the winter", the songs are closer to what EVENT HORIZON X did on the first record of 2003 (Fall of darkness), that is very inspired true heavy speed metal. But what's a little new to the sound is the clean epic touch which emerges from the whole's mood. The vocals are still incredibly efficient, very varied and powerful, and the high-pitched screams are wonderful, in the pure vein of some Halford. Moreover, the guitar riffs and soli show that this guy is some really clever and technically irreproachable musician. In short, if you like epic and fast heavy metal with great guitar-work and superb vocal lines, this new album is for you ! Let's hope that the public will give a chance to this band cus it surely deserves interest. Excellent !
