Everpresent's precursor release (and first single) from the highly anticipated "Phoenix" album brings Everpresent back to the public in a new, reinvented light. Matthew Cahoon is the sole performer on this track, providing all vocals, keyboards, sequencing, percussion, and drums. The mid-tempo dark middle eastern funk mixed with emotive, pop-style vocals indicates yet another shift for the Boston electro project, and is accompanied by the cinematic "Darklight" video, which was co-created by Matthew, choreographer/dancer/visual designer Reshama Damle High, in collaboration with director Zach Salsman. Also, stunning visuals by Joshua Pickering, hair and make-up/dancing by Shereen Faltas, and dancing by Jennifer Vix further enhance the song and video's impact. The release features an innovative remix by Galvanax, and other remixes by Matthew in collaboration with Sanctum Sound engineer, James Willets. This single was recorded by Kenny P. and produced and mixed by Matthew Cahoon, James Willetts, and Steve Catizone.
