Dreamers/Lovers is the second album from Seattle rock band Explone. With these 11 songs, singer and songwriter Patrick Porter wrestles with all his influences: 70's power pop, 80's post punk, and shoegaze bands from the 90's, pulling these elements together into a cohesive whole. The result is guitar rock drenched in melody, self-assured and blissfully irony-free. Joined by drummer Josh Williams, bassist Scott Andrew and guitarist Kyle Stevens, Porter marries his smooth, intimate vocals to majestic, stadium-sized hooks. The songs on Dreamers/Lovers want to whisper in your ear and shoot for the rafters at the same time.
