Album Notes

Faded Anchors is not so much a band as a man. Justin M. Kolenc began his musical career in 6th grade where he played the bass viol for his school orchestra and jazz band. He continued this classical training through high school, after which he joined the U.S. Navy. While in the Serving with the Navy in Pearl Harbor, HI he played with a number of bands, including Spent Beyond Means and Never Again. Upon honorably discharging from the Navy in 2003 Justin moved home to Colorado, where he met and married his wife. In Colorado Just has had a few brief stints of activity in the music world, including the creation of his company Mad Squid Productions, and brief stints with bands like The Dead Cowboys (hired by but never played with) and The JP Rockers. This is his first solo album and on it he plays all parts, including guitar, bass, and vocals, outsourcing only the drums, which he claims he wouldn't have done at all if he could afford a drum set of his own. Check out this album and help him buy a kit!
