Flowers for Beth is a compassionate and amusing story, set in a theater play form, of a charming, motherless girl who, at the brink of maturity, faces a tragedy in an abrupt manner. This parallels the life of her own dear father. Perhaps the similarity in their tragedies can be traced through their proximity to a bewitched garden which contains a sylph-like spirit, quite as beautiful as the heroine, Beth, herself. Beth and her paramour, Butch, Zoro or Windom (as he is variously called) share a strange bond. As a small child, Beth had a kidney transplant. The kidney belonged to Windom.

Robin Walker/et/gr...is a musician, artist, business owner, recording engineer, and now author for Flowers for Beth. Inspired by the love of theater and story telling, his personal experience with first love is expressed. The need to share the unexpected consequences of human nature's compelling urge to protect our loved ones, and to react to the outcome, is revealed in the touching innocence of young love.
