Chicago cabaret vocal-trio, Foiled Again (Allison Bazarko, Rob Lindley, Anne Sheridan Smith), recorded this live CD at SPACE in Evanston, IL in the Summer of '09. Foiled Again puts their trademark close-knit harmonies on the music of Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Cy Coleman, and The Hollies. If there were such a thing as "Hipster Cabaret" these kids would be the very definition. Often described as "cabaret in blue jeans" and taking their influences from everyone from kd lang to The Dixie Chicks, and Harold Arlen to Susan Werner - they have been delighting audiences with their unbelievable harmonies and humor for years. With vocal arrangements by Bazarko and Jeff Award-Winning musical director Doug Peck on piano this trio delivers a lovely sample of what it is like to spend an intimate evening with them.
