In their first album, simply entitled "f.o.g.," F.O.G. (a.k.a. FOG or Forgetful Old Guys) the band provides a trip back to rock's roots. Alex Hatcher and F.O.G. interpret their multiple influences from 60's and 70's rock and roll, by revisiting a time when music had something important to say and when the mind and heart were together in artistic expression. The album digs through multiple strata in the geology of rock to revisit, explore and to interpret the essential workings of her forefathers. From the folky "Mischief Song" to the heavily sedated "Vagabond Saint," the band puts a fresh spin on our most memorable genre of all time. "Angel of Mercy" and the exquisite "Jezebel" are driving rockers, full of spirit and spirituality. "Honeysuckle Love," "The Nightingale" and "Moonchild" are rhythmic rock creations, which also delve into more contemporary elements of classic rock and roll. "Waterloo Indigo" features haunting lyrics and melodies encomapssed within simple, yet beautiful vocal harmonies. "Home" offers perhaps the most eloquent expression of who the artist is and where he's been. Enjoy! Look for F.O.G.'s second album, "Diamond Dust" on CDBaby in 2011!
