The Four Piece Quartet

About the band
   The Four Piece Quartet was formed in 1997 as a result of playing jazz worship services around Central Pennsylvania. The intent of the group is to create positive and uplifting music through the use of hymns, secular songs and original music. Their new Christmas CD “On This Day” is a presentation of some beautiful traditional Christmas carols arranged in a jazz format. They are joined by guest vocalist Robin Work.
Selections include: Do You Hear What I Hear, Silent Night, Ave Maria, and more.

Bob Meashey - trumpet
BIO   After spending time in the clubs of New York, trumpeter BOB MEASHEY has settled in the Lancaster area. Meashey has worked with the likes of saxophonist Bob Mintzer, former Dave Brubeck drummer Joe Morrello, bassist Stanley Clark, and vocalist Cab Calloway to name a few. While in New York, Meashey studied with the principle trumpeter of the N.Y. Metropolitan Opera Mel Broiles. Currently Meashey can be heard throughout eastern Pa. with The Four Piece Quartet and guitarist Steve Giordano.

Andy Roberts - piano
BIO Pianist/composer/arranger ANDY ROBERTS grew up in Lebanon Pennsylvania He is a graduate of Berklee College of Music (Boston Massachusetts).
Roberts repertoire includes a busy schedule of music directing, performing and writing within many formats of the music world. He has been music-director for numerous theaters, most notably for the Timbers Dinner Theater in Mt. Gretna Pa. He is fortunate to have played with many of Pa’s top jazz players. He has also toured Japan several times with soul legends The Three Degrees.
Roberts’ recent cd “Under the Radar”, is his premier recording as bandleader/composer. Other current projects include The Four Piece Quartet, and the Andy Roberts Trio. website www.antigravmusic.com


Steve Meashey - bass
BIO Bassist STEVE MEASHEY is originally from Lebanon, Pa where he now lives with his wife Erin and their three kids, Samantha, Chester and Robyn.
Over the past 24 years Steve has made a living playing bass in Central PA and Philadelphia where he has had the privilege of playing with many of the finest jazz musicians in the region. 
 Steve has also been involved in a great deal of recording over the last 10 years, including CDs with Hilary Leigh Graves, Andy Roberts Trio, The For Peace Quartet and The Joe Hunt Trio. website www.stevemeashey.com

Dave Lazorcik - drums
BIO Drummer DAVE LAZORCIK,  a Lebanon native, is a music performance graduate of Lebanon Valley College, Annville Pa. He studied  at the drummers collective in New York with such notable teachers as Joe Morrello, and Gary Chester. He was the drummer for the Dave Stahl Big Band for 11 years and has worked with such performers as The Temptations, Patti Andrews, Billy Eckstine, Bob Mintzer and Rodney Dangerfield. Outside of performing Lazorcik teaches privately. He is the house drummer for the Timbers Dinner Theater in Mount Gretna and has recorded two CD’s with the Four Piece Quartet.

Robin Work - vocalist
BIO Vocalist ROBIN WORK has been a veteran of the music business for over 20 years and has been a featured soloist with the Dave Stahl Sacred Orchestra, the Rob Stoneback Big Band, the Andy Roberts Group the Robin Work Trio and most recently the Four Peice Quartet. She can be heard on the latest recordings of these groups as well as her solo CD “Pure Imagination”. She has performed with some of Central Pa’s finest jazz musicians. Robin continues to do a variety of performances with both Christian and secular music groups.
