Album Notes

A.M.D Dimensional Distortion

Genre: Progressive metal with synth/electronic and orchestral elements

The story:

The story takes place sometime in the fictional future of Earth when the planet is secretly attacked by an unknown race that dives to the planets inner core and disrupts its energy by cutting of a fragment. With the inner most core exposed the planet is in danger of being swallowed by a dimensional distortion. A letter is handed down to a war veteran named Jason Masinger who is assigned to follow the trail of the mystic invaders and bring back the core fragment.

Because I am a fan of movies and video games I wanted this album to accurately follow the events both lyrically and instrumentally.
I let the songs follow the story and progress within themselves trying to go beyond making a “Song” and more of a moving picture of the events they represent without repeating much. This creates a beginning and an end feeling with recurring parts and themes as in a movie score composed differently.

WOW!!, the atmosphere of the whole album is amazing!. It's mandatory to digest the concept and music in several listens but for sure you will discover something new in each session. One of these albums that you have to listen with headphones if you dont want to loose a detail. I don't know if F. Johansen is the singer but vocals are incredibly versatile and eloquent. Very very good job, recomended for all progressive metal fans.
