When Robert Dziekanski was tasered by Royal Canadian Mounted Police at the Vancouver Airport while immigrating to Canada the event was caught on camera by an onlooker. Subsequent investigations have found that the RCMP misrepresented the facts of the incident. Barry Truter's song laments an environment in which power is misused and innocent people are victimized. This song is in the great tradition of protest songs that raise our awareness of injustice.
