Album Notes

Gordon Cummings was born and raised in Alexandria, VA. He had emerged in the Washington DC metal scene in the 1980's as one of the most remarkable drummers any metal audience and fellow musicians alike had ever seen. Gordon also dabbled in experimental/avant-garde/rap during this time period, also making home recordings on a boom-box and karaoke machine of his own acoustic driven Pop Songs.

Gordon's first commercial release wouldn't come for years later as the drummer/backing vocals for Hungry Mind Review (HMR) on their amazing softmore CD Redemption. His long term friendship with HMR front man, singer/songwriter Stephan Bayley who would play a key role years later. Gordon would go on to release a rap album under the name Jothum C. and played all the additional instruments and backing vocals on Matt Thompson's Big Train Shook The Tracks. Stephan Bayley eventually hooked Gordon up with musician/producer Mitch Easter in 2004 and they recorded one song "How Easy It Is." It wouldn't be until 2009 that Gordon would fly out to Portland,OR to Stephan's Way Out West Studios and record the remaining four songs for his debut EP.
