"Of course I'm biased, but Grace is really, really good --and I hate that. Because as her dad, I'd much prefer that she got a real job . . ."
-Pierce Pettis

"Grace Pettis is definitely an artist to keep an eye and an ear on. She's taking on big ideas, and hewing them into well-crafted lyrics. There are graceful turns of phrase which sometimes remind me that she grew up under a roof that sheltered more than one great writer, but her voice is her own, as a writer as well as a singer."
-David LaMotte

"There is a wisdom in Grace's observations about life that makes her music go right to the heart. She sings and shares so honestly that it is inevitable listeners will hear themselves in her songs."
-Jill Phillips

"Grace Pettis is wholeheartedly dedicated to using her myriad talents to heal, and to bridge the distance between that sacred and the every day, making every song a prayer and making every moment holy."
-Joe Jencks

"Grace Pettis is as promising an artist as I've heard in a long time. She's got the heart, art, soul and looks to touch a lot of people with her music."
-Tom Kimmel

Hail Pettis, Full of Grace
author: Doc Schneider

This is album is a joy forever because it is a thing of beauty -- beautifully written, composed, arranged, performed and recorded. The Long Sleep was the first song to grab me, with its honest reflection on faith full of longing and humanity, and Grace's voice arches in heartbreaking fashion on the high notes. And then Gypsy Code and Bird May Love opened up with wonderful lyrics, touching performances and the fingerprints of an artist in bloom, like a rose breaking through the snow. Nine to Five is an instant classic -- with Flannery O'Connor and Sinclair Lewis touches painting the American scene. The determined Love Is There and the poignant Dancing are standouts. I love the innocent jubilation of Italy -- and the rising up, had enough of Heard Enough Now. Simply put, it is a well-crafted album by an artist who is the whole package. There is beauty and humility and love here, enough for the asking. On earth, it is not as it is in heaven -- but every now and then, it seems like it might be with the gift of a new singer-songwriting talent like Grace.
