Album Notes

"New Orleans Man" is about the anguish of tens of thousands of people who were displaced from New Orleans by Hurricane Katrina. After the wrath of nature had scattered them throughout our country, many have been unable to return to the city that they love. I am one of them. Although I allude in the song to my frustration at being "stuck in Houston," I realize the blessings and opportunities my new home has brought me. "Lightning Does Strike Twice" celebrates the love I found in Houston with my wife Pamela. Since we first met in 2005, we have been collaborating together to create the music and words we now share with you. This song is about the fortune of finding love late in life and in the wake of a tragic event.
