Album Notes

It started out with just me and an acoustic guitar. But of course that didn't last long, because it was boring. So I talked to Bill Homeyer about playing some slamming drums, which he did do. Then I added bass and a bit of screaming and it was finished.

A lot of these songs have some fingerpicking going on. It's not bluegrass or hillbilly stuff - it's just me using my fingers a lot, in a way that wouldn't have worked so well on an electric guitar. Check out "Song For The Next War" or "No Help Coming." I wanted to mix fingerpicking with rock and punk.

A lot of these songs are about things I don't like. I'm talking about organized religion and dishonest wars and censorship and ignorance.

This isn't pop music. This is not an attempt to smear everyone's face with the latest flavor of vanilla pudding. The songs are short, fast, raw, and real. I hope you like it. If you don't, well, that's fine.
