ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The single “Hot Like Fire Tonight” from their new CD “Reggae Around the World” has been the #1 most requested song on Boston’s top reggae radio station 88.9FM WERS for the past 3 weeks. 5-15-06.

Hot Like Fire has emerged as the most sought after reggae band on the New England music scene over the past seventeen years. They are well known for their reggae versions of American pop and R&B songs
Trumpet player Kelley Bolduc founded Hot Like Fire during her final year at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. She met a student from Barbados and attended a performance of his where she won a round-trip ticket to the small Caribbean island. After falling in love with reggae and soca music she returned to Boston to start her own band, commencing as an eleven-piece group, with members hailing from different Caribbean islands and America.
Over the years, Hot Like Fire has refined itself to a contemporary five-piece band. Most of the musicians in the group are originally from Jamaica and were born into reggae music.
Lead singer Errol Strength was born in Kingston, Jamaica and has been singing reggae music his whole life. As an artist for Crown Jam Records in Boston and Witty Records in NY and Kingston, JA, Errol has hits like “Tears” and “Zion First”. He has also opened for artists such as Beres Hammond, Jimmy Cliff and Steel Pulse.
Singer, keyboardist, trumpet player, Kelley B. is the smoke behind the fire. A native of Massachusetts and graduate of Berklee College of Music, she has spent time living on the island of Trinidad and toured the Caribbean with exciting soca bands such as Atlantik, Machel Montano’s Xtatik and Spektakula calypso tent. Kelley B. makes Hot Like Fire hot!
Their first CD , self-titled “Hot Like Fire” earned them many awards upon its release in 2000, including CD of the Year, Best Male Vocalist and Best Producer from the Boston Caribbean Music Awards.
On the scene for only one month, Hot Like Fire’s latest CD “Reggae Around the World” reached #1 for three weeks in a row on WERS 88.9FM Rockers Top 6 at 6:00 with the single “Hot Like Fire Tonight” . This new CD uncovers hidden songwriting talents within Hot Like Fire, layered with reggae versions of R&B tunes, taking you on a reggae ride around the world. You’ll catch yourself playing this CD over and over again.
