The band really came through on this song. On guitar is Marco Tulio, from Brazil, on bass is Nelson Rios also from Brazil, Frank Zottoli on piano, and Keith Stark on drums and percussion.

Nelson played this bass that looked like it had been through a war, but has the most amazing sound. He bought it cheap when he first came to Los Angeles and then burned spots on it so no one would try to steal it from him when he rode the bus. It worked, no one has tried to steal it, but it sounds great and very unique.

This recording was an experiment on my part with recording away from the studio. We used my Uncle Fred's stunning 1931 Steinway L. It has such a beautiful sound. There is something about recording acoustic instruments and is so fulfilling and beautiful to listen to. Enjoy.
