Album Notes

It is our privilege to introduce you to Jackie Evancho with her debut cd Prelude To A Dream. She is a 9 year-old songbird with a blessed gift from Heaven. That is the only way to account for her “old soul” sound and gift of visual interpretation she shares with audiences. From a remarkably young age, Jackie has had amazing control of her voice, a rich timbre to her sound and beautiful tonal quality across her current range of low F# to high E.
Although she can perform to perfection in many different musical genres, Jackie aspires to a singing career in one of the fastest growing genres in the recording industry, Classical Crossover. A testament to this fact are EP sales from the likes of Il Divo, Josh Groban, Sarah Brightman and one of the genre’s most recent newcomers, Hayley Westenra.

REVIEWS

Therapy for the soul
author: Steven Hass
Jackie Evancho's incredible vocal talent transcends any reference to her young age. Her rich voice is a rare combination of technical skill and emotional mastery. Listening to this CD, it's obvious that Jackie deeply feels the music that she sings, and she takes the listener with her as she tells each of the fourteen musical stories on this CD. "Prelude To A Dream" is an hour-long therapy session for the soul. Soothing, relaxing, ethereal, tranquilizing, calming.....and more. Jackie Evancho sings from a place that is well beyond her years - the proverbial "old soul". I gave this CD five stars only because there isn't an option for ten stars.
