Album Notes

This album was created the same way a painter might approach their next piece of art. Starting with a blank canvas, Face let the production speak to him in terms of song ideas. "I didn't write anything for this album. I just listened to the track, letting the music speak to me and went in the booth. Whatever came out is what I went with." This perfectly describes how a song like the alterna/pop/hip-hop love ballad "Crash" was made and the heavy rock guitar "D.M.V." (an anthem to Face's hometown). "The production is so different that it forces you to step out of the box and approach the song another way." Another example of that is the eclectic/jazz infused "Green Eyes," which speaks about envy. With its plush production and skillful writing, "The Mona Lisa Project" flows effortlessly through many different musical styles and there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy on this album.
