Janet Lee Myatt's music reveals her deeply personal spiritual journey back to herself - an outward manifestation of the inward journey of becoming fully awake. Inspiring, touching, funny and ruthlessly honest, her songs compel the listener to question everything, remember a higher power, and to discover who one truly is.

When asked who she sounds like she laughs and says, "Me!" " However," she continues, "over the years I've been told I sound like Stevie Nicks, Bonnie Raitt, Lucinda Williams, Emmylou Harris, even Janis Joplin!" She shakes her head and continues, "I don't believe I sound like any of these women and I don't believe they sound like each other. What these women have in common (besides being great!) is that they all have uniquely distinctive voices that are immediately identifiable. What I take from the comparisons is that I have a uniquely distinctive and, I hope, immediately identifiable voice - both in terms of tone and perspective."

And right she is! Her music plays nicely alongside any of these women as they have clearly influenced her over the years. Janet's sound is a creative, tasteful mix of folk, blues, rock and pop sensibilities with a distinct San Francisco flair! From the deeply spiritual InThe Stillness, to the moving and inspirational Right Mind Again to the quirky She's So Insane, her music covers a broad range of emotions, moods and themes. Not the same old "moon, June" school of songwriting, Janet's music is current, unique and relevant.
