Between 1998 and 2009 I wrote nearly 100 songs and released five albums. 17 of those songs are represented here. My intention was to record each song in an earthy, organic and honest manner. In today’s society of unnecessary noise, excess and commercialism, this simple approach appealed to me. Each song is a snapshot of people I have met, places I have been and various landscapes and roads I have taken. On this album you will hear songs about love, love-gone-wrong, boats, fog, the first hundred miles, being a Daddy and the moon. Some songs were written overlooking the Olympia, WA harbor. Others were written on the central coast of California. Many were written under the shadow of Pikes Peak in Colorado.
