Deserves wider recognition!

I was introduced to this artist nearly a year ago, and have thoroughly enjoyed 'Stage Road,' ever since. Moreover, I've shared it with friends who are also vocal jazz aficionados, and we agree that Jeannette is a top-notch singer who deserves a wider audience. I am reminded of the freshness of Lena Horne with the precision of Diana Krall. There is amazing stylistic versatility and emotional depth in Jeannette's voice. I wish her all the best for a long and successful career!

It gets better every time I listen

Tasty arrangements. Extremely well crafted yet genuine, unpretentious vocals. The first time I played Stage Road it was as background music for a cocktail/dinner party and I thought, "that's very nice". Then on each subsequent listen I discovered more and more subtle yet fine details. Few singers can pull off covering Joni Mitchell songs, and Jeanette succeeds in doing so with apparent ease. Thanks to "Tex" Arnold for his arrangements which let the excellent musicians shine while still showcasing Jeannette's velvety voice. Thanks to Jeannette's parents and ancestors for giving her such rich and resonant low notes on the gorgeous "Melancholy Serenade". Thanks to Charles Baker for his gift of the beautiful and haunting "Like a Shiver". And thank you Jeannette d'Armand for giving us all this life-changing piece of musical artistry called Stage Road. Buy this album. You will thank Jeannette, too, if you do.

New and Refreshing

If you are looking to be wowed by a new voice with a refreshing sound, you'll find it on Stage Road by the vocally sensuous artist, Jeannette d'Armand. I picked up her new CD after hearing the track Touchtone Love Screen--a humorous commentary on romance in the digital age. Stage Road is a delight. Every song is a new and creative composition or it's a fresh and invigorating interpretation of an old favorite (Chelsea Morning). Ms d'Armand delivers the goods with heart and soul. I look forward to hearing more from this gifted artist!

We listened to this album on Christmas Day, and we were blown away ! Jenny d'Armand has really got it! Perfect mastery of the styles, vocal control, imaginative shaping, and a gorgeous, heartbreaking voice -- and in a beautifully mastered album. Wow! Shortly thereafter, I had a call from a friend, and we couldn't stop raving about it. This young musician should be on Broadway. The album is a treasure.
