A collection of songs performed live at The Purple Rose Theatre, a not-for-profit theatre Jeff Daniels founded in his hometown of Chelsea, MI. The music combines storytelling with a bit of folk-country and a dash of blues.
In August '09, I played five sold-out shows at The Purple Rose Theatre in Chelsea, Michigan. Since it's my theatre, it was easy to book. A not-for-profit professional company that produces New American Plays, everything I might make from this CD goes straight to them. So thanks for supporting the arts. We're all better for it.
As an actor, I learned very quickly that no matter how many times I performed something, I had to make it look like it was happening for the first time. Same thing with music.
