Jerry D Hobbs and my band " The Country Rhythm Makers" have been playing up and down the state of California for 29 years, playing that good old Traditional Country music that people still long to hear. Nashville is so far away from good old fashioned country, like night and day. I'm doing my best to preserve traditional country. I've had my music played overseas and the U.S.A with Stardust Records and Caprice Records in Nashville, Tenn. I was elected into the Sacramento Western Swing Society's Hall of Fame in 2008, what an honor. I won Rising Star Award in Las Vegas . I've played with Billy Mize, Johnny Western, David Frizzell, Rose Maddox. Also my good friends of Bakersfield - Red Simpson and Bobby Durham. I currently live here in Bakersfield, Ca. in the heart of an area where traditional country music had it's beginnings. So many legends had their careers started here in Bakersfield-Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, Billy Mize, Tommy Collins, etc. My band and I are keeping the memory of these great entertainers alive by playing their music.
