Beatles
A Tribute to Love and the Renaissance of Spirit

A Short Bio:
Jerry DesVoignes is an international singer, composer, poet, throat singer, workshop facilitator
and voice coach. He has a four octave range,plays a variety of
instruments and calls his home Vancouver BC where he produces a variety of
musical events. Jerry has an extensive background in contemporary
music and ancient singing styles and has performed and composed music
in Rock, Country, Jazz, Progressive Rock, Gospel, R&B, Musicals, World
Music, Latin and Children’s.

~ "All You Need Is Beatles" was recorded and produced in Vancouver with my
great friend Greg Birdsall. We spent about one year and a couple
hundred hours working on it when ever time was available. Greg made
recording effortless. My musical partner Elio Rota offered his
musical gifts in several songs, laying down tracks of gold.

I sang all the vocals on the CD which was a dream come true. Most of the songs first tracks were recorded as lead vocal and guitar and often done in one or two takes. Building the harmonies and blending the various background vocals is what takes the most time. Big time in editing and mixing so many layers.
Haven grown up with the Beatles, I was pretty much in tune with each of their voices. My intention was to stick with the original style of each song and then of course giving them my own expression. I loved those original recordings and wanted to stay close to them.

At the age of 13, I purchased “Meet the Beatles” their first American release from Capital Records. I began singing with it night and day (driving some crazy I'm sure) and recognized that something amazing was occurring and my life was for ever changed. Joined my first band at 16 and never looked back. I hope your enjoy my renditions of these Beatle songs, and find yourself singing along continuing the legacy of such inspired music!

Recording this CD has been a personal renaissance for me. In doing so,
I ventured deep into the magic and brilliance of the Beatles’ voices,
harmonies and melodies recording a few of the songs from the most
beloved group in the world.
The Beatles inspired my life and music and gave hope and promise to
the entire world. This gift continues to this day.
