ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
KROM started in August of 2008. Three of us were originally together in a crust-punk band called Initial Detonation. We’d released two 7” records & did 2 tours. We were in a van for one three week tour and one six week tour of the east coast & mid-west in the mid & late nineties. We got back together but wanted to go in a more metal direction. Our sound has been described as N.W.O.B.H.M. meets early Earache Records. Our local scene is pretty varied, but not many bands are playing fast songs. We didn’t initially set out to be different, but it has definitely turned out that way. It is something we are coming to realize the more shows we play. We feel we have the metal philosophy down pat. To quote Rob Halford, we’re loud, we smell, and we’re offensive to some people. We are fairly prolific songwriters as well. We have 13 original songs that are total face rippers, ranging from fast grindcore style songs to downtuned sludgy doom, with a shitty attitude of course. We had some stickers & t-shirts made recently & hope to spread the word as much as possible. Feel free to leave any comments, questions, concerns, gripes, etc. The only excitement we have in our lives is checking our My space page(myspace.com/krommetal) for new comments. Yeah we're losers I guess, but we love it. Make sure not to poop your pants anytime soon. METAL!!!

This is KROM!
this is a great CD. i am a big fan. this is really legit raw death metal, and
no clunkers, all rocking songs. the production is bare bones, clean and raw,
no 55 gallon drum of reverb all over everything, this is just how the band
sounds... ripping. they don't need special effects to make their songs rock,
pound, and keep the listener's interest all the way through.

if you are a fan of the accused, nunslaughter, voivod, cryptic slaughter,
C.O.C... etc etc... you get the drift. raw vocals, raw riffs, and spot on
songwriting. not too much math that drives you nuts, but not simple, either.
and not all that fucking grindcore nonsence that has been old for 25 years
now (come on people). this is killer music made by people who know their
shit and have probably been playing this music since it was cool the 1st time.

the bass guitar sounds like someone is choking a lizard priest, it is the grossest
and best bass sound i've heard in a long time, and it really stands out in the
mix, blending well with the straight ahead power guitar. the vocals are mostly
un-intelligable to me, but all the words that i can hear sound really disturbing
and funny in a sick way. wonderful cover artwork as well, it's worth the price of
admission just for that alone.

this is not the cocaine wars "CROM"... this is KROM from Joplin, missouri!!!!
