The cover won an award for best CD cover at Womens radio. I created the song: Old Friends, after feeling depressed over the so-called friends on the internet. The song, Nothing, brings home the fact of where I came from, the ghetto; nothing but depression.
A few comments...
Very bitter and realistic message of this song: Human. A fascinating structure, the background effects are really haunting. A fantastic singer with a great feel for modern songwriting, so this one is highly recommend to everyone who loves creative sound design and demanding alternative pop.
Despite her strong influences, there is no servility in this album. Kathleen's approach to song structure is pure freedom. The result is a revealing of a large gap in modern Pop and R&B. In Kathleens space there is sincerity and a willingness to play with the medium as part of the message.
Do not pass up the opportunity to hear this artist. If you like art and experimental music or if you just want to groove, either way you will be pleasantly surprised by her unique vision. I highly recommend viewing her YouTube channel, and then for another experience buy the album and listen to the sounds on the go.
Musically hypnotic. Kathleen.D has a way to weave lyrics into a brilliant musical canvas. If you enjoy music and love discovering something avant-garde then I highly encourage you to take a trip on this musical journey. You will not regret having embarked on her vision of the world.
Beautiful, smooth and chilly music. A CREATIVE GENIUS!
For when she opesn her soul and lets the music and art escape we get to touch in the ways the Creator intended in the places that give the greatest sensations of joy. When She came , She came to relieve the suffering of the poor and remind the oppressed that they were loved above all.
I am really really in love with your music and art. Everything looks and sounds so beautiful and dense and layered. Wow. So incredible. I am completely stunned. it totally just knocked me off my feet.
It was written that HE came for the poor. And so she continues the legacy. May her medlodies continue to remind of his love for us.

Kathleen D., Say What?
author: June Caldwell, Radio & Booking Promotion Consultant
Kathleen introduces a new kind of sound, a punk funk genre for the heavy-hearted souls. Her voice is calming, soothing and unforgettable. Her album resonates with the sounds of such modern r&b powerhouses as Jil Scot and Gina Loring. . Her lyrics relate to a bigger picture and structure of freedom, love and lifestyle. She portrays the sound of the Gypsy Kings meets the power of a female vocalist.
Aint Beggin
This song is pure poetry. A call for female power, a message heard in between the lines. Kathleen’s vocals are magnificent in the most feminine way. The beat is extremely catchy and radio styled.
Dawn
The track is a beautiful sound of heartbreak. The melody shifts in two ways and is enhanced with the vocals from Kathleen. The track gives new meaning to love songs, empowering and arising the edgy funky side of our feelings.
Meaningless
This track approaches a view many do not dare to address. Her message is similar to the lyrics or India Arie. The beat of the music flows with the beat of your thoughts and heart.
