Album Notes

The Kelly Quinn Band has been somewhat of a staple of the NW Iowa music scene. After being named the "Best Band/Muisician" by The Weekender for 4 straight years, the band finally decided hitting the studio was the next step. Combining musical influences from all 5 members is what makes this debut so interesting. Opening track "The Moon", an acoustic tune with almost an alt-country feel, according to Kelly "...speaks out against anyone whoever criticized what we did musically". Track 2 is the feelgood "Thanks For The Memories", an upbeat song explaining the trials and tribulations of a relationship gone wrong. "Wrong Direction", the next track on the EP, offers more of a straight ahead rock feel while the final track "Looking In" shows the KQB's heavier side. Ultimately, this EP sets out to show what it is the band is capable of doing. Look for another EP coming out by the end of 2010, as the band will prepare to release a full length album in 2011.
