The hand of time : Legend / Local folk law has it the land surrounding "The Devil's hand" tree is haunted, many locals have seen the apparition or spirit ghost roaming across the plain after dark. A white ghostly female figure emerging from the mist is most common within these tales. Some say the tree hand itself holds a time in the past and points to the moon as a reminder. The landmark weathered remains of the tree have since eroded back to the earth.
