so se kwa is a DIY world music album by Kevin Pike. It took Pike 6 years to perform and record all of the parts in his home studio. The highly layered, dense arrangements feature Pike on saxophone, mandolin, acoustic guitar, percussion, flute, clarinet, banjo, electric bass, piano, drums and melodica. Kevin's use of recurring themes, mixed-meter grooves, falsetto vocals and irregular forms mirror the style of the Brazilian musical genre known as corner club music.
