ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
As roommates in Santa Barbara, California, George and Colin first planted the seeds for what was to turn into Kid Fiction. On the front porch of their old Victorian boarding house they traded laughter, conversations, friends and most importantly songs. Several years and several bands later, George and Colin reconvened in the vibrant Los Angeles neighborhood of Los Feliz, where they decided to record these songs together. Drawing from experiences gained in the recording studio where Colin was working, as well as from their other projects, they recruited friend Sam Gallagher to help them out on the drums and recorded their first self-titled EP. The songs they recorded, laced with haunting melody's, guitar feedback, moog synth lines, heavy drums and beautiful crisp acoustic guitars, create visceral soundscapes reminiscent of the open road, their travels and the uncertainly that life and relationships often bring. Lyrically, Kid Fiction reminds us that often the best songs are the ones left open to interpretation. These three Angelinos continue to play, record and make music, most notably in the Los Angeles Indie-Pop group The Idyllists.
