Kim Beacham Hanson
House Diva "Ms. Trouble" Kim Beacham was born February 22, 1967 in Trenton, NJ to Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Beacham. Kim is one of five children born to the couple; she was first noted to sing at the ripe age of 2. Her love for music and thirst to learn to sing was tried early on throughout school. At age 19 Kim took on a new genre, she became a "Marvelette" singing throughout the tri-county, performing at Barmitzfa's, private parties and nostalgic events singing Motown classics, touring with the likes of The Drifters and other groups from that era. Kim's first recording project was with local producer and DJ, Ron Horton upon completion the track was shopped with independent label companies in New York, where Kim first met James Bratton, CEO and President of "111 East Records" in 1993 who has remixes and production credits on Sybil's "Don't Make Me Over, Susan Clark's "Deeper". James showed an interest in working with Kim, they met and discussed the opportunity of Kim being added as one of the artist for the label. All meetings went well, and Kim was signed to "111 East Records" recording her first record entitled "Trouble" which charted in Billboard and went on to become a classic house track for Kim and 111 East Records. Other recordings done with 111 East Records include, True Love, Reasons, I'll Be There, Good Love to You and Your Love. Kim also did a house mix of classic Christmas song "This Christmas".
