Album Notes

La Muñeca y Los Muertos came together in 2004 around Osorio’s bilingual songwriting. Being that they have been friends for a long time prior to forming, the band came together naturally. With the combination of each of their talents, a selection of Osorio's songs matured into their distinct Ska/Punk/Latin sound. Their friendship has been the foundation to release their self-produced debut album, Estrella.

Osorio's songwritings are playful journeys of self-discovery and self-encouragement. Finding inspiration in spirit, nature, positivity, celebration and in the appreciation of life. Some musical influences are The Specials, Oingo Boingo, The Pixies, Madness, Bersuit, Mana, The Police and Elvis Costello. And many No Doubt and The Selecter fans have made La Muñeca y Los Muertos one of their new favorites.
