This disk is representative of the music written and performed by Watermark (the REAL Watermark, not the other famous, good looking one), an alternative Christian rock band in the Philadelphia area in the late eighties and early nineties. The best introduction is probably samples from the lyrics themselves:
From "Canyon Song" - written in the midst of the Grand Canyon while wrestling with Epistemology and God's self-revelation...
Inner Space
Marked in arcs etched on Raven's wings
Who can plumb the depth of a man - Who knows these things?
Faced with such size The Thinker cries
"What is Truth?
... nothing more than a position not easy to refute ?"
- but overhead -
Light shines on red sandstone walls
reaching down these darkened halls
now I see
so dimly
now I know in part
one day I'll see the heart
More real than these Canyon walls.
All songs written by Langdon Palmer
All songs arranged by Watermark
