Laura AInsworth honed her taste and chops watching her dad, legendary saxophonist/clarinetist Billy Ainsworth, back up such idols of hers as Tony Bennett, Ella Fitzgerald and Mel Torme. Blessed with both her father's musical talent and her own wicked sense of humor, Laura not only performs live, but she launched her own syndicated radio service, and her parody songs have been heard on top morning shows around the world. When Laura decided to record her first serious, commercial CD, some of the greatest jazz musicians in Texas happily volunteered to accompany her. "Keep It To Yourself" is the title track from that forthcoming album, produced, arranged and featuring keyboard work by her frequent collaborator, acclaimed jazz pianist Brian Piper of the Brian Piper Trio (90th Floor Records). The album runs the gamut from lost treasures of the '20s-'50s, to fresh takes on standards, to a couple of surprising contemporary tunes.

"Keep It To Yourself," by Bill Demain and Laura's friend Amy Rigby (hailed by Rolling Stone as one of the top singer/songwriters in the world) is a sexy, catchy pop-jazz souffle that Amy herself calls the perfect theme song for the next "Austin Powers" or "007" movie. It combines slinky bass lines, a mind-blowing lounge-rock guitar solo and Laura's innocently naughty vocal, topped with a hilarious lyric. It's the perfect musical revenge fantasy for women fed up with Tiger, Jesse and all the other cheating men who ever did their partners wrong.
