There's something magical about simplicity. Lex Plexus is returning to roots with his latest track, "Robo Tooth". The good old hands-on methods of hardware sequencing and sampling have been all dusted off and brought back into action. "Robo Tooth" has all the intuitive innocence of a good old 80's lo-fi techno jam. Comparisons to Kraftwerk and Orbital are inevitable, or the old classics "Rock It" by Herbie Hancock and "Axel F" by Harold Faltermeyer. All the samples are original, made mostly of guitars and bass combined with a TR-505 drum machine and the Korg Wavestation synthesizer (the same kind used by Jan Hammer to make the "Miami Vice" theme song!!!). "Robo Tooth" sounds all at once robotic, heavy metal, and totally 80's.
