Album Notes

Lickin' Good Fried is a Toronto band comprised of Tom Parker (leader, songwriter, vocals/guitar) formerly of the Backstabbers Country String band, Alex Pangman (vocals) who has been called "Canada's sweetheart of swing", and crackerjacks Andrew Collins (mandolin) and John Showman (fiddle) of Creaking Tree and Foggy Hogtown Boys fame. The lower end is held down by Backstabbers alumni, Same Petite, on bass.

Inspired by the styles of country luminaries such as Roger Miller, Bill Monroe, Patsy Cline, & the Louvin Brothers, Lickin' Good Fried play in that good old honky tonk tradition that urges one to have another drink, slap a friend on the back, & maybe have a dance. It's good sincere fun, with a note or two of melancholy, strong singing and smoking solos earning repeat plays.
