LIGHTNING HAND is one of the premier California Classic/Rock, Blues/Americana bands. Hailing from Sacramento, tight rhythms surrounded by sweet harmonies are at the core, while wandering melodies flow from every corner. We are generally thought of as Classic/Rock or Blues/Rock with an emphasis on the 60's and 70's genre. We are currently playing around the Sacramento area as well as various parts of California. The band has played at ARCO Arena for the Sacramento Kings and opened/played before Journey, ZZ Top, The Parrotheadds, David Gans and Mumbo Gumbo. LIGHTNING HAND has played for numerous festivals and hit nearly every hotspot in the Sacramento area including ARCO Arena, Raley Field, Konocti Harbor, Harvey's(Lake Tahoe), Sacramento Grand Ballroom, Marilyn's on K, The Torch Club, Constable Jacks and the Powerhouse Pub. The band has had 2 songs featured on National Public Radio(NPR) as well as other songs on other various radio stations and has been featured in movies such as the Bill Collector. LIGHTNING HAND is available for private parties, weddings, festivals, nightclubs and other events. We also can a 3 piece acoustic band!

Fans of Eric Clapton, The Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers, Rolling Stones, The Band, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Tom Petty, Jerry Jeff Walker, Black Crowes, Phish, Los Lobos, as well as traditional Blues and Country will appreciate the music. The album "Almost To Nowhere" was recorded at the acclaimed Audio West Studios in Sacramento under Emmy-winning engineer/producer Ed Etzel. The CD contains 12 original tracks written by Eric Lazar and 1 by Greg Bee. Players include Eric Lazar, John Winger, Dan Callnon, Mitch Young, Jason Staats, Rich Baum, Greg Bee and Ed Etzel.
