The focus of Lisa's music tends to be love, family, friends, and the beauty of nature. The mood of the music ranges from contemplative to upbeat, with lyrics that are memorable and laced with positive poetry. The music itself is a blend of jazz, folk, and rock with a medley of instruments including lead and harmony vocals, guitars, cello, flute, piano, bass, drums and percussion, together creating beautiful, rich textures.

"I Will Hold You" is a warm and tender ballad that incorporates kalimba, the African thumb piano. Flute melodies grace "Summer Song" and "Only Love is Real", which are pensive in nature. Both "July Lullabye" with its soaring vocals and "Coming Home" feature the cello. However, to strike a balance, the funky-groove "Lookin' for a Miracle", toe-tappin' "Wanting Good Things (for you)" and jazzy"She's My Sister" will make you want to move. The musical variety of this CD makes it a great listening adventure!
