Album Notes

Kids and their families will love this Parents' Choice Approved CD! Also the winner of the Creative Child Seal of Excellence and an Outstanding I-Parenting Media Award. The album opens with a multicultural “Hello” and then puts a sparkling new twist on the traditional “This Little Piggy” rhyme. What follows is a rollicking line-up of tunes in a variety of styles, from sweet folk melodies to old-fashioned rock and roll. Liz also includes songs that help build important early literacy skills such as rhyming, alliteration, clapping syllables, opposites, sequence and narrative. These songs are easily adaptable for the classroom, including Liz’s new take on the traditional “Dr. Knickerbocker,” to which children could add their own rhyming lines. A special favorite is the “Three Little Pigs” song, which can be acted out or done as a finger play or puppet show. You won’t want to miss that bluesy Big Bad Wolf, accompanied by a wailing harmonica! At long last, Liz has also recorded another classroom favorite, “If I Were a Butterfly,” which is fun for fluttering about and cuddling up in the shape of a chrysalis.

Liz’s first CD, “Make It a Song, Song, Song,” has won many fans with its musical quality and variety. Similarly, “Singing All the Way Home” is a terrific album for dancing, learning, singing along and simply listening, sure to become a favorite for children aged infant-8 and their families. It features a bevy of awesome instrumental work, from Eric Kilburn’s guitar and banjolin to Billy Novick’s sweet jazz clarinet on “Dinosaur Valentine” and sax on “The Hand-Clapping Rap.” Come on home to this great new CD!

Easy to sing along with, Liz brings new life to old tunes such as Today is Monday and the Woody Guthrie gem Bling Blang, then tickles the funnybone with originals such as Firetruck's Coming! and Chilly in the Morning. A nice addition to a child's music library!

My kids LOVE this CD...It has a nice variety of songs with different styles and feel. My kids, ages 5 and 7, want to hear it all, and especially love Liz's version of the THREE PIGS. It has a bluesy wolf that keeps swinging in dramatically in a musical style that changes up the feel. We all sing along when the wolf comes on. They also love her FIRETRUCK song that reminds us that you just can't put our a fire with a billy goat or a baseball bat. Much fun, clever, enjoyable to ears of all ages...signature LIZ stuff! We recommend it big time.
