Album Notes
This collection of tunes represents a special section of my musical journey. I started out taking violin lessons and playing in the school orchestra from third grade through High School. In addition, I learned old time fiddle tunes from my Dad and went to various fiddle contests in the area. As I began to advance in my abilities, I started to branch out into other styles and approaches to playing the fiddle, such as Bluegrass and Texas style fiddling. Styles that come from influences beyond the Midwest I grew up in. These tunes are some of my favorites from that time just beyond violin lessons and old time fiddling. During this time I also learned to interact with other instruments, and in making my own musical journey, I felt I was finally On Track!
