Hello and Praise God,
How often do you see a miracle right in front of you? I am one. I came from the back of the church doing nothing to help Kingdom build, to the front of the church lead singing, writing and producing an actual CD in 2 years. You never know what the Lord has planned for your life. This was something I would have thought impossible. This CD being done is nothing but God. People who know me are just as shocked as I am.
There is a lesson in this CD. When God says do something, you better be Obedient. He will never tell you to do something and not give you what you need to do it. All you have to do is step out on your faith and he will do the rest.
My song “It’s Your Time to Shine” is my testimony of when the Lord spoke to me. On October 3, 2007, The Lord told me that he wanted to use me. I was at my church, (ST Paul Missionary Baptist Church) in Sacramento California. I went there for a clinic that Kevin Bond was giving. I was sitting in the back row, when The Lord said, “That’s what I want you to do”. I said to the Lord, “I can’t do that, I have no talent, I cannot sing, I can’t play an instrument, I have nothing to offer.” The Lord told me,” I gave you the gift of writing”. Through Kevin Bonds message, the Lord showed me how important writing is. He showed me that I am now a songwriter for him. That night I was so hyped up, I went home and started writing. I was on fire for the Lord. I thereafter joined the Male Chorus and later became a full member of St Paul Missionary where my Pastor is Dr Ephraim Williams. I have been active member since that day.
The only reason that it has taken me so long to get this first CD out, is because for the 1st year, I ran around trying to get others to sing the songs that I was writing. Nothing ever worked out. I had to go through the pain of people saying no to me, people ignoring me, people avoiding me, people being upset with me and the pain of me wasting lots of money on things that didn’t work out. I was being disobedient. The Lord showed me that the job and the gift that he had for me, it was for me. It was my lack of confidence that kept me from moving forward. It took me to understand that before I would say,” Lord I will do it myself.” When I finally came around, that’s when the Lord gave me the song; It’s Your Time to Shine. That is when I started to sing and be blessed.
