Combining breath with movement, this easy-to-follow yoga practice will leave you feeling invigorated, yet stress free and relaxed. This practice is suitable for all levels, especially beginners and experienced students who prefer a moderate, rather than vigorous practice. Instructions, accompanied by backgroud music, are articulate enough for newcomers; yet leave enough space to find your own unique rhythm and flow.
This practice is complete with a centering meditation, warm-up, yoga postures, and a guided relaxation. If played from the beginning, the CD will flow with no breaks or interruptions, although you can choose to listen to only one of the tracks. For example, if you are short on time, you may choose to listen to only the warm-ups and yoga posture track. Or, you may choose to listen to only the guided relaxation as a way of winding down before sleep.
The practice is voice guided by Mandy Sergent, a Certified Yoga Instructor and Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist. In each yoga class, Mandy creates an atmosphere of safety and acceptance. She encourages students to turn inward, and find their own pace and way of being in the yoga postures, “feeling their way” into poses, doing what complements their body, rather than aiming to look picture perfect. The voice instruction is accompanied by gentle guitar music.
