Album Notes

From the stench of stale alcohol, cigarettes, and the haze of the early morning hours. From the evening of decadence and the glorious pain of the hanging morning. This is the tender womb that in the living room of a San Francisco apartment was born Manuel's Parking Lot. Alex Musto and Jake Sinetos were brought together under a mutual appreciation of humorous pop music, an impressive ability to drink and stay up late, profoundly poor musical chops, and the shared experience of having grandmothers stolen. They set out to teach the world the woes of having things stolen, proper ways to make words plural, and of course how to make spaghetti sauce. Over the course of a year and a half, and a top a glorious pile of recycling, Manuel's Parking Lot met and constructed their debut album: They Paved Paradise and Put up Manuel's Parking Lot.
