"Marion Grace began as a remembrance of a person that none of us have met, but who all of us will remember."

Marion Grace consists of 4 band mates, one producer, one manager, and many friends. The idea behind Marion Grace is to be real, be steady, be human. We are who we are and we do what we do. It's an amazing feeling to share music with the world, whether it be in a small cafe in Portland, Maine, or on a large New York City stage.

The line between bandmates and family can no longer be seen, and this has in many ways created our identity as a group. It's been quite an awakening. Not many people in life get to add family as they live, not like this, and we are very grateful.

At times it's bigger than the music. At times it's bigger than anything.

"It has been a little over a year from the day that we woke up and decided we wanted something real, something greater then us. It was that day we decided, I would sing more like I talk, Aaron would forget the metronome for a while, Clara would open her eyes while she sang, and Josh would start to transistion from hired gun to family. It has made all of the difference."

Marion Grace was conceived years ago by namesake lead singer and songwriter Ralph Graceffa. The current members have been together since the beginning of 2009. The name Marion Grace is anchored to a childhood memory of a woman met through pictures and stories only. Marion is a person that we will all carry in remembrance through the spirit and Grace of the music.

The band had been hard at work in the thriving local Portland music scene for past few years and now has created the band’s first full-length release, “Lying down looking up”. This highly-anticipated debut record weaves deep through varied intense emotions and experiences, all the while maintaining their soulful, alternative folk rock sound.
